Early this morning, while I was deep in meditation (which FYI I do from the comfort of my bed, so it’s a miracle when I don’t fall asleep), I had a VISION.
Now that I think of it, maybe I was asleep, and it was just a dream, but that’s neither here nor there. I found myself holding a handful of seeds. They felt alive with potential, tiny but mighty, each one capable of becoming something grand. The message was simple: if I wanted these seeds to grow, I had to plant them. Water them. Care for them. You may be thinking DUH—because I was too. It’s a basic law of nature, as old as time. No seed thrives without nurturing, without attention, without intention.
But then, as I sat with this vision, craving a little bit more (how about a vision of the location of the next winning Powerball ticket???), it changed. The wind picked up, scattering some of the seeds from my hands. They flew, untethered, landing in places I couldn’t see, in spaces I hadn’t chosen. Losing half my lot, I felt out of control, but there, in the wild, untended by my hand, they found their home; who was I to dictate that for them? They were nourished by sunlight, softened by the rain, and began to take root, grow, and bloom—without me.
As fast as the vision appeared, it was carried away, much like the seeds swept up by the wind. It was a fleeting moment, but one that lingered in its lesson.
It was a reminder of something I’ve always known but often forget: some desires in life arrive without our active participation. Sometimes, the seeds of what we need are carried off by the wind, finding fertile ground in ways that we could never predict. They flourish beyond our control, gifts from the universe that sprout up without us having to do a thing. As effortless as nature.
But then, there are the seeds we carry close. The dreams we long for, the relationships we hold dear, the visions that demand our focus. These seeds require something more—they need our love, our energy, our attention. And in those moments, I’ve learned that where we direct our focus matters, because seeds may be abundant, but your time, energy, and attention are limited. It’s not enough to scatter hope into the breeze and walk away. You have to choose where your love goes. Your attention is your love. Your care is your magic. It’s this balance between trusting the wind and tending the garden.
Not every seed will sprout where we expect it to, but every seed has a purpose. Some will grow because we’ve carefully planted them; others will bloom because there is a greater plan we can’t always see. But in both cases, growth is inevitable. As long as you keep planting, keep showing up, keep directing your heart and energy towards what matters to you most.
So today, I’m thinking about the seeds I carry—the ones I’ve planted with intention and the ones that have taken root in the wild without my knowing. I’m reminded to trust in both processes: to hold space for what I can control and to leave room for the beautiful, unexpected things that grow all on their own.
And that brings me to a recipe!!! It's not often I share recipes these days (don’t worry, something is coming!) When you’ve been cooking and sharing recipe videos for as long as I have, it’s easy to forget how much magic lives in the process. This recipe, for example, started as a seed, that seed transformed into a raspberry, and NOW that raspberry is in my muffin! I’ll admit that sometimes I feel tired and uninspired. There are moments when the spark fades, but then I remember—where attention goes, things grow.
And let me tell you, these seeds must have fallen in the right place because these were the best muffins I have ever had. They are tangy, moist, fluffy, and bursting with bright raspberry flavor!
Love you, now go plant those seeds!!!

Raspberry Labne Muffins
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
3/4 cup white granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup labne (can sub sour cream)
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups raspberries (fresh or frozen)
Instrucions:
Preheat your oven to 400º F and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners (I prefer the jumbo size!)
In a large bowl, add the melted butter and sugar and whisk until combined. Add the egg, vanilla, buttermilk, and labne, whisk again until smooth. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt until combined.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet and fold with a spatula, careful not to over-mix. The batter will be thick.
Throw in the raspberries and fold to incorporate a couple of times, careful not to break the raspberries too far down or over-mix the batter.
Scoop the batter into each muffin liner - I like to fill mine almost to the top for a big, beautiful muffin.
Bake at 425º F for 10 minutes, reduce the heat to 350º, and bake for another 15 or until golden on top and cooked through.
Enjoy!
I used this as a base for another recipe and it worked perfectly! Cranberry Cobbler Muffins.
Substitute 2 cups raspberry for 2 cups of canned “whole cranberry” cranberry sauce. Bake 400 for 15 and then 350 for ~30 ish (not sure exactly how long it was… just until golden).
